Job summary

Signarama Silver Spring is seeking a skilled Sign Manufacturer Welder to join our production team. You will weld and fabricate metal components for custom signs, reading blueprints and ensuring structural integrity while maintaining a safe workspace.

The ideal candidate has proven welding experience in signage fabrication, proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, and a keen eye for detail. Strong collaboration with designers and production is essential, with opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder, preferably with experience in metal fabrication for signage.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Able to work with aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate metal components for custom signs, including frames and decorative elements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specs to assemble and weld components accurately.
• Operate MIG, TIG, and Stick welding equipment with precision and quality.
• Measure, cut, grind, and prepare metal materials for welding and assembly.
• Ensure final product meets durability, aesthetics, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with designers and production team to meet timelines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment; ensure safe operation.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; keep workspace clean and organized.
