Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, operate, and sustain mission-critical RF and SIGINT collection environments across hybrid Linux and Windows infrastructures.

The role focuses on engineering complex, distributed systems for data ingest, transport, and processing, with DoDAF-aligned architecture and close collaboration with Government customers to resolve challenges and support accreditation.

Qualifications

  • 14+ years of systems engineering experience on large programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field; substitution permitted for 5 years of additional experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; security background investigation and polygraph.
  • Active DoD 8570 certification required.
  • Active Security Clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Linux- and Windows-based systems supporting RF and SIGINT missions.
  • Translate operational needs and designs into system requirements and specifications.
  • Architect end-to-end solutions across hardware, software, and networking with DoDAF alignment.
  • Author and manage system engineering artifacts including plans and requirements matrices.
  • Execute integration, test, verification, and validation for complex platforms and data pipelines.
  • Provide guidance during design reviews and program-level technical discussions.

Job description

Senior Systems Engineer

Columbia Technology Partners is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to design, operate, and sustain mission-critical RF and SIGINT collection environments. This position focuses on engineering complex, distributed systems that support data ingest, transport, and processing across hybrid Linux and Windows infrastructures. The engineer will support advanced collection ecosystems built on platforms such as DRT, NiFi, ONEROOF, DARKQUEST, and FORNSAT throughout the full system lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain Linux- and Windows-based systems supporting RF and SIGINT missions, including environment configuration, software deployment, and network troubleshooting
  • Translate operational needs, CONOPS, and architectural designs into actionable system requirements and technical specifications
  • Architect and integrate end-to-end solutions across hardware, software, and networking elements using DoDAF-aligned and service-oriented design principles
  • Author and manage systems engineering artifacts, including system plans, interface control documentation, and requirements traceability matrices
  • Execute and support integration, test, verification, and validation efforts for complex collection platforms and associated data pipelines
  • Serve as a senior technical contributor, providing guidance during design reviews, configuration control boards, and program-level technical discussions
  • Collaborate directly with Government customers to resolve technical challenges, manage system risk, assess performance, and support accreditation and lifecycle sustainment
Qualifications
  • Fourteen (14) years of demonstrated experience performing systems engineering on programs of comparable scope, complexity, and mission impact
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or a related technical field from an accredited institution
  • An additional five (5) years of relevant Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree
