Job summary

Anton Häring KG is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to program, troubleshoot, and maintain Siemens PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial control systems on-site in Lavonia, GA. You will diagnose automation issues, support production, and drive reliability improvements across equipment and processes.

The role requires 3–5 years in industrial automation, strong Siemens PLC expertise, and familiarity with TIA Portal, STEP 7, and WinCC.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Extensive experience programming and troubleshooting Siemens PLC systems is required.
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, STEP 7, WinCC, and HMI development preferred.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machine controls, sensors, drives, and automation equipment.

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Siemens PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial control systems
Support production and maintenance by diagnosing and resolving automation and equipment issues
Implement automation improvements to increase machine reliability, efficiency, and productivity
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization and control system enhancements
Support new equipment installations, machine commissioning, and production startups
Maintain PLC programs, software backups, electrical documentation, and control system records
Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities related to automation equipment
