Aalo Atomics is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/Draftsman in the United States to develop detailed drawings for advanced reactor systems. You will work with Siemens NX to create precise 2D and 3D CAD models, applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards and ensuring accurate documentation.

This role emphasizes collaboration with engineers and cross-functional teams, with on-site requirements in Austin, TX and Idaho Falls.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanical designer or draftsman in an engineering setting.
• Strong proficiency with Siemens NX drafting and modeling tools.
• Solid grasp of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
• Experience with mechanical component and assembly design.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to high-quality drawings.
• Good organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Siemens NX.
• Develop technical drawings that comply with ASME Y14.5 standards and GD&T.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to translate concepts into manufacturable designs.
• Maintain drawing packages through design iterations and ensure design intent is captured.
• Support documentation and configuration management of all design materials.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to process and quality improvements.
