Job summary

The DMV Security Team in Blythewood, SC is seeking an entry-level Security Analyst to support threat intelligence, threat hunting, and log analysis. You will build detection rules for SIEM and Defender for Endpoint, working onsite as part of a security-focused team.

This 12-month contract role is fully onsite with weekend evening shifts and NDA/pre-employment checks required. Start date 11/16/2026; DOE compensation and potential extension.

Qualifications

• Entry-level security role focusing on SIEM and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with IT security services and network concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Threat intelligence research and documentation of findings.
• Threat hunting and detection rule creation in SIEM environments.
• Log analysis of firewalls, endpoints, and servers to identify indicators of compromise.
