Job summary

J & S Siding Inc. in Michigan seeks an operations leader to oversee production, job sites, scheduling and payroll processes.

You will supervise crews, manage direct reports, monitor project efficiency, ensure safety and quality standards, and coordinate materials delivery. The role emphasizes driving profitability, maintaining trust and inclusion, and partnering with management to meet strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• BS in operational management, or equivalent work experience.
• Siding experience with knowledge of Hardy & LP products is desirable.
• 3-5 years of construction/management experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable for company vehicle use.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews and manage direct reports; track responsibilities and progress on jobs.
• Monitor projects and jobsite efficiency; perform onsite quality control checks.
• Inspect job sites before start to ensure crews are equipped and ready to work.
• Conduct final quality walk to ensure standards and cleanliness.
• Oversee production and sales schedules for new projects.
• Verify timecards for payroll and subcontractor payments.
• Assist in hiring for Siding positions and deliver materials to sites.

Responsibilities include overseeing J&S siding production/jobsites, providing customer service as required, oversee production teams, scheduling, weekly timecards for payroll, and oversee subcontractors as required, while maintaining an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Supervise crews
• Manage direct Reports/Teams (Track responsibilities and progress on jobs).
• Monitor and analyze projects/ Monitor jobsite efficiency / Perform onsite quality control checks.
• Inspect job sites prior to onset of jobs starting to confirm that crews/jobs are equipped, and work is ready for teams to begin.
• Perform a final quality walk to ensure standards are met and the job site is clean.
• Oversee the production schedule
• Oversee the sales schedule for starting new projects.
• Employee timecard verification for payroll / Verification for subcontractors pay.
• Assist in interviewing/hiring for J&S Siding positions.
• Driving to job sites to oversee crews and deliver materials as needed (utilizing a company vehicle).
• Contribute towards the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational objectives.
• Strive to improve profitability and increase productivity of crews.
• Verify manufacturer installation requirements are met.
• Responsible for employee reviews as required.
• Interact with employees and resolve employee issues as needed.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

• BS in operational management or similar relevant field and/or equivalent work experience in field.
• Siding experience (siding knowledge of all products especially on Hardy & LP).
• Construction and Management experience (3-5 years preferred).
• You must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable as this position will have use of a company vehicle.
• Perform any other duties assigned.
