Job summary

Wolverine Lawn Services in Michigan is seeking reliable individuals to join our Winter Sidewalk Crew as on-call team members this season. You will remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, steps and other pedestrian areas using shovels, snow blowers and power brooms, with shifts that frequently run overnight during third shift.

Compensation ranges from $23 to $28 per hour based on experience; this seasonal role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork, with no prior snow removal

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to report promptly when called.
• Comfortable working outdoors in winter weather conditions.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious.
• Reliable transportation to the assigned reporting location.
• Previous experience in snow removal, landscaping, or construction is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, steps, and pedestrian areas using shovels, snow blowers, and power brooms.
• Apply salt and other de-icing products as needed.
• Operate small equipment safely and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with Crew Leads and Zone Leaders during each weather event.
• Assist teammates in areas where equipment cannot reach.
• Follow all safety and quality standards set by Wolverine Lawn Services.
• Work safely in cold, snowy, and low-light conditions.

Compensation

$23-$28 per hour based on experience and role. This is a seasonal, on-call position with most shifts occurring overnight during third-shift hours. Shift lengths and weekly hours will vary depending on weather conditions, and extended shifts may be required during larger storms.
