Job summary

Parsec LLC is seeking a Side-Loader Operator in Memphis, TN. You will operate side loader cranes, load/unload containers, and ensure accurate records while maintaining safety standards. Requires gantry/crane experience, valid license, and ability to pass background checks and physicals.

Shift pattern includes 42 hours/week with a mix of 12-hour and 6-hour days; starting pay is $27 per hour plus benefits. In-person work location in Memphis, with weekend/holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• Side-Loader Experience is required.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• 18 years of age or older; High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check and Erail badge.
• Ability to pass a drug test and a physical.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Operates overhead or side loader crane for loading/unloading containers and trailers.
• Locks/unlocks container chassis, trailer hitches, IBCs, and bolsters.
• Performs daily pre-inspection of tires, fluids, hydraulics, lights, and camera systems.
• Ensures safety equipment is functional and area is safe.
• Reads and applies service directives and technical instructions.
• Meets proficiency, safety, and quality requirements; passes skills test.

We are currently hiring for the position of Side-Loader Operator.

Shift Time

4 days a week, 42-hours a week. 3 days a week on 12-hour shifts, from 7am-7pm and 1 day a week on a 6-hour shift.

Pay

$27 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily operation of the overhead or side loader crane, while loading and unloading containers and trailers to railcars. This will include locking and unlocking container chassis, trailer hitches, IBCs, and bolsters.
• Must have prior verifiable gantry crane operator experience.
• Perform daily pre-inspection to verify the conditions of the tires, oil levels/leaks, hydraulics, lights, flashers, radio, damage, and camera.
• Ensure safety equipment is operating properly, including the location and condition of fire extinguisher.
• Be aware of your surroundings when operating loading equipment to ensure all processes are followed to maintain a safe and injury-free work environment.
• Must be able to read, understand and work with service directives and technical instructions.
• Will be accountable for meeting proficiency, safety, and quality requirements.
• All candidates must complete and pass a basic skills assessment test prior to employment.
• Ability to verify container, chassis, and trailer numbers accurately.
• Ensure clear communication is met with the Ground Persona and/or other personnel.
• Crane Operator must possess a valid driver's license.
• All other duties as assigned.

General Requirements

• Side-Loader Experience is required.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License
