Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's West Penn Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 10-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). You will assess patients, implement and evaluate care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support vascular, surgical oncology, OB/GYN, and cardiac services.

Qualified candidates hold PA RN licensure (or multi-state licensure via eNLC), CPR certification, and a track record of at least two years of RN experience within the last five

Qualifications

• Two years of RN experience within the previous five-year period.
• CPR Certification.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Responsibilities

• Provides transformational leadership in a professional practice setting within a surgical ICU.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and improve patient care.
• Assigns or delegates tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Maintains patient safety and appropriate documentation of care.
• Promotes patient/family-centered care and professional development.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies and quality initiatives.
