Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland is seeking a New Grad RN Resident for the Surgical ICU. You will provide direct nursing care in a high-acuity setting and participate in a year-long Nurse Residency program.

The role supports growth through simulated training, mentorship, and hands-on practice with state-of-the-art technology; night shifts with weekend/holiday requirements are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification required if in a Critical Care area, upon hire or within first year.
• New grad or less than one year RN experience or transitioning RN to acute direct care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care on SICU alongside a success coach.
• Participate in residency core curriculum and structured training.
• Establish and/or revise patient care priorities based on acuity and resources.
• Respond to indicators of patient risk and initiate corrective actions.
• Document nursing care in medical records.
