Job summary

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible in hematology.
• Eligible for Virginia medical license.
• Evidence of accomplishment/potential (e.g., publications, trial PI).
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse faculty, staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Teaching medical students, residents and fellows; participate in clinical research opportunities.
• Lead translational clinical trials in sickle cell disease and establish extramural partnerships.
• Engage in governmental partnerships and advocacy with state and national organizations.
• Provide clinical care in outpatient and inpatient sickle cell services.
• Oversee the Sickle Cell Program operations, staffing and programmatic leadership.
