The University of North Georgia is seeking a part-time Supplemental Instruction (SI) Peer Facilitator for the Blue Ridge Campus. This institutional student worker helps peers study smarter, aiming to boost academic performance through guided, collaborative sessions.

Facilitators lead sessions twice weekly, hold office hours, attend lectures with students, and prepare worksheets. You will receive orientation, bi-weekly meetings, and mentoring as part of staff development.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Completed targeted courses at UNG with a B or better (MATH 1111, MATH 1113, SPAN 1001).

Responsibilities

• Lead SI sessions two times per week for the assigned course using collaborative activities and active learning strategies.
• Hold office hours and attend lectures with students to relearn course content and promote SI.
• Plan for SI sessions (agenda, worksheets/resources) and participate in staff development (orientation, bi-weekly meetings, observations).
• Avoid supervision and assist the supervisor and mentors with ongoing training and sessions.
