Harbor Steel & Supply Corporation is seeking a Shuttle Truck Driver (Class A CDL) to operate a dedicated Bowling Green–Lexington shuttle route. You'll typically run 2–3 times per week, with home every night and opportunities to supplement with local deliveries or warehouse work.

Full-time drivers may also back up local deliveries or work as Material Handlers when shuttle deliveries aren’t scheduled. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with no driving restrictions.
• Experience with route driving and freight delivery preferred.
• Licensed and comfortable operating a manual transmission vehicle.
• Safe driving record and professional attitude.
• Dependable and safety-conscious work habits.
• Ability to tarp and untarp flatbed loads safely.
• Ability to identify steel products is preferred.
• Ability to use a tape measure and read calipers is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 53' flatbed truck on the Bowling Green–Lexington shuttle route.
• Transport long steel products and skidded materials between facilities.
• Tarp and untarp loads at pickup and delivery points.
• Secure loads and follow assigned routes and schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Identify safety or mechanical concerns and report them.
• Maintain compliance with traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Provide professional, courteous service at locations.

Harbor Steel is looking for a Class A CDL Shuttle Truck Driver to join our team and run a dedicated shuttle route between Bowling Green and Lexington, KY approximately 2–3 times per week.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver who wants consistent local work, predictable routes, and no overnight hauling.

For candidates interested in a full-time position, there is also an opportunity to supplement shuttle driving with local deliveries or Material Handler work in our warehouse when shuttle deliveries aren't scheduled.

What You'll Do

As a Shuttle Truck Driver, you'll safely transport long steel products and skids between our Bowling Green and Lexington operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating a 53' flatbed truck on the Bowling Green–Lexington shuttle route
• Transporting long steel products and skidded materials
• Safely tarping and untarping loads at pickup and delivery locations
• Securing loads properly for transportation
• Following assigned routes and delivery schedules
• Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Identifying and reporting safety or mechanical concerns
• Maintaining compliance with applicable traffic laws and company safety procedures
• Providing professional, courteous service at pickup and delivery locations

When shuttle deliveries aren't scheduled, full-time drivers may have the opportunity to:

• Serve as a backup driver for local deliveries
• Work as a Material Handler in our warehouse

As a Material Handler, you’ll help pull customer orders and ensure finished products are accurately tagged, packaged, and prepared for shipment.

This flexibility makes the position a great fit for someone looking for steady full-time employment while keeping a local driving schedule.
