Job Purpose

The purpose of the Shuttle Driver Trainee-DOT position is to train in performing pickups and deliveries of daily routes to domicile drivers and returning empty trailers for reloading at the warehouse.

Responsibilities

1. Train to operate as a safe and courteous shuttle driver, demonstrating BEK principles during interactions with the public and customers.
2. Maintain cleanliness of tractors and trailers used during shifts to ensure equipment is in good condition.
3. Adhere to all FMCSA laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. Ensure trailers and tractors are adequately fueled and fuel levels are maintained.
5. Occasionally complete deliveries to/from customers or warehouse/shuttle sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred.
• At least 6 months of DOT driving experience required.
• Valid Class A CDL with Doubles endorsement.
• Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn internal applications.
• Ability to work outside in extreme temperatures.
• Ability to follow instructions and lift/move cases weighing up to 90 pounds occasionally.
