Position: Shuttle Driver Trainee-DOT

The purpose of this role is to train in performing pickup and delivery of daily routes to domicile drivers and return empty trailers for reloading at the warehouse.

1. Train to perform as a safe and courteous shuttle driver, demonstrating BEK principles during interactions with the public and customers.
2. Maintain cleanliness of tractors and trailers to ensure equipment upkeep and overall condition.
3. Adhere to all FMCSA laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. Ensure trailers and tractors are adequately fueled and fuel levels are maintained.
5. Occasionally complete deliveries to/from the warehouse or shuttle site as needed.

Job Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
2. At least 6 months of DOT driving experience required.
3. Valid Class A CDL with Doubles endorsement.
4. Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations required.
5. Ability to read and interpret rules, operating, and maintenance instructions.
6. Good computer skills and ability to learn internal applications such as On-Board Computer and Proof of Delivery equipment.
7. Ability to work outside in extreme temperatures.
8. Ability to follow instructions and take direction.
9. Must be able to lift and move cases weighing up to 90 pounds occasionally.

Ben E. Keith values driver safety, utilizing dash cameras with artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events, and improve safety performance. All drivers sign a consent form upon hire regarding this monitoring.
