Experience and Education
  • Minimum 8th grade education and two (2) years of full-time paid experience operating various motor vehicles such as vans, mini-buses, and station wagons.
  • Valid State of Texas Driver's License is required.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for vehicles weighing 26,001 pounds or more.
  • If transporting 14 or more passengers including the driver, a CDL with passenger endorsement is required.
Job Duties
  • This is a part-time, temporary position with hours varying based on need, typically from 10 am to 7 pm.
  • Operate vans or mini-buses to transport employees and visitors on scheduled routes connecting campus and off-campus locations. Deliver mail, packages, drugs, and supplies as assigned.
  • Transport patients within outpatient clinics to specialty care units, agencies, and homes. Deliver drugs and supplies between central supply, clinics, and patients' homes.
  • Maintain vehicle records and report maintenance needs. Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as refueling and checking tire pressure, oil, water, and batteries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code *51.215, allowing UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
