Qualifications

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write and present information to customers and employees.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic with dollars.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
  • Be present at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
  • Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license to be carried with driver, at all times, while on duty.
  • Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
  • Courtly assist customers by answering any questions; direct them to the Facility Manager when necessary.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the garage office.
  • Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways around the garage.
  • Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
  • Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience Required: Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement: Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.

Availability to Work: Special shift requirements may vary depending on the location’s hiring needs. Availability to work third shift and/or weekends may be required.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information in one‑on‑one situations to customers and other employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract two‑digit numbers, and multiply/divide with 10s and 100s; perform these operations using units of American money.

Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear a complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: The job requires standing; walking; using hands to handle cash and equipment. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, and lifting up to 75 pounds may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Salary Range: $22.00 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
