Job summary

ABM Industries in College Park, GA seeks a Shuttle Driver to transport passengers to and from airports, hospitals, campuses and more. You will load and unload passengers, assist with seating for those needing help, and keep the vehicle clean and safe for daily operations.

No formal education is required and on-the-job training is provided. You must be 21+; a CDL with the appropriate class/endorsement may be required. ABM emphasizes safety and customer service in a military‑friendly team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport, load and unload passengers at designated locations.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading and assist passengers with special needs (e.g., wheelchair lifts).
• Help passengers load luggage as needed.
• Inspect vehicle and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service and directions to destinations.
• Maintain bus evacuation procedures and coordinate evacuations as needed.
• Report incidents to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.

The Shuttle Driver drives passengers to and from assigned locations. Depending on the contractual need this could be around or near an airport, commercial building, hospital, sports arena, entertainment venue, educational facility or warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load and unload passengers, providing daily transportation services at designated pick-up and drop-off locations
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for unloading passengers with special needs (i.e
• wheelchair lifts and tie-downs)
• Help passengers to load and unload luggage as needed
• Inspect vehicles on a regular basis to find any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; perform routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities
• Meet patrons needing assistance to and from various airport locations and lots
• Inspect shuttle for preexisting damage record information using electronic device or manual ticket
• Provide excellent customer service to guests; respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner, give directions to nearest highway, destination, etc.
• Maintain and enforce bus evacuation plan and coordinates bus evacuation activities as appropriate
• Immediately reports any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
• Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment and fuel use logs
• Maintain a clean work environment, disinfecting shuttle after each use
• Performs pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to prescribed Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with proper safety standards

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
• This role may require a CDL with a specific class and endorsement requirement

Preferred:

• One (1) year of prior work experience as passenger shuttle driver is preferred
