Job summary

BMW of Fairfax, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking a Shuttle Driver to assist with vehicle movement, shuttle customers, and perform valet pickups/drop-offs while maintaining the dealership’s appearance and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will greet customers, validate appointments, document vehicle details, operate shuttle routes, and support the service team with a courteous, reliable presence.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physically able to drive and move vehicles.
Strong attention to detail to maintain the dealership’s professional appearance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be authorized to work in the USA.
Willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: drug testing, background check, MVR.

Responsibilities

Greets customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude and directs them to the right person or location.
Give shuttle rides and perform valet pickups and drop-offs.
Determines if customers coming into service have an appointment.
Record customer name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage (walk around).
Move and park vehicles to maintain flow of traffic within the dealership.
Drive vehicles to and from service lane, stalls, and parking lot as needed.
Keep the lot, driveways, and sidewalks clean, organized, and presentable.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and staff.
Retrieve vehicles at cashier for pickup and thank customers for their business.
Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats and I.D. tags in serviced vehicles.
Assist with loaner vehicles and keep the shop clean.
Follow all safety policies and report accidents promptly.

Summary

The Shuttle Driver will be responsible for assisting with vehicle movement, giving shuttle rides and performing valet pickups and drop offs as well as maintaining the dealership’s appearance while delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly and professional attitude, answers their questions, and directs them to the appropriate person or location.
Give shuttle rides and perform valet pick-ups and drop offs.
Determines if customers coming into service have an appointment.
Records customer’s name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage (walk around)
Move and park vehicles in the dealership premises and to maintain flow of traffic.
Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
Keep the dealership lot, driveways, and sidewalks clean, organized, and presentable.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
Retrieve customer vehicles at cashier for pick-up; wait at vehicle for customer, thank customers for their business.
Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats and I.D. tags in all the vehicles taken in for service.
Assist with loaner vehicles and keeping the shop clean.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
