As a US Foods CDL A Shuttle Driver, you will drive tractor trailers containing various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods, etc.) to and from remote dispatch sites. This role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Driving: Master the art of the drive, transporting various products between dispatch sites with safety and efficiency.Team Up: Embrace the challenge of backhaul or delivery roles when needed, show your adaptability.Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.Inspect and Confirm: Verify the freight on the truck, check the trailer temperatures, every detail matters.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects.
