US Foods is seeking a CDL A Shuttle Driver in Hardeeville, SC. The role drives tractor trailers containing meats, produce, and other products to remote dispatch sites, ensuring safety and accuracy in handling loads.

The position supports a 4-day work week with Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday shifts, typically dispatching around 6:30pm for 10–14 hour days. Retention bonuses and benefits begin Day One, with overtime opportunities available.

Qualificações

• CDL Class A license with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• 6 months of commercial driving experience required.
• Doubles endorsement preferred and helpful.
• Must be able to read/communicate in English to understand highway signs and complete reports.

As a US Foods CDL A Shuttle Driver, you will drive tractor trailers containing various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods, etc.) to and from remote dispatch sites. This role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Driving: Master the art of the drive, transporting various products between dispatch sites with safety and efficiency.Team Up: Embrace the challenge of backhaul or delivery roles when needed, show your adaptability.Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.Inspect and Confirm: Verify the freight on the truck, check the trailer temperatures, every detail matters.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.QualificationsRegister to the FMCSA Clearinghouse *Must be at least 21 years of age.Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.6-months commercial driving experience required.Doubles endorsement required AND minimum 6-months driving with doubles endorsements preferred.Must be comfortable working overnight.Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.About US FOODSClick here to learn more!*Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation.
