Job summary

Shearer's Foods in Massillon, OH is seeking a Shuttle Driver for the Stark Distribution Center. Afternoons 4pm–12am with weekends required; responsibilities include unloading, moving trailers, verifying loads, and providing customer service. Must safely handle 20–80+ lb loads and work in varying weather.

Applicants must be 21+, hold a valid CDL Class A with DOT qualifications, have forklift experience, and a proven safe driving record. Manual transmission preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have CDL Class A issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Experience driving and operating forklifts/hand lifts.
• Minimum six months commercial driving experience or three months in food/beverage delivery.
• Proven safe driving record.
• Manual transmission experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift or by hand and place in designated storage areas.
• Move trailers between storage locations and the manufacturing facility using jockey trucks.
• Verify accuracy of truck loads and obtain proper signatures.
• Perform customer service responsibilities to enhance client experience.
• Lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during shifts.
• Drive and work in varying weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift).

Responsibilities

SHUTTLE DRIVER (Stark Distribution Center)

$27.00/HR

Afternoons - 4pm to 12am

• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift or by hand and place in designated storage areas
• Utilize jockey trucks to move trailers between storage locations and manufacturing facility
• Verify accuracy of truck loads and obtain proper signatures
• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• Experience driving and operating forklifts and hand lifts
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
• Proven safe driving record
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
