Job summary

Paycom is seeking a driver to handle short haul trailer movements, yard spotting at loading docks, and routine trucking duties. CDL is required, with prior tractor-trailer experience preferred for congested-area spotting.

You will operate in yard and street environments, follow radio instructions, and ensure safe, compliant handling of trailers and equipment. Night and weekend work may be required; maintain professionalism with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Must possess Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and meet company driver qualification standards.
• Three months or more experience operating tractor trailers in the last 3 years, including trailer spotting in congested areas.
• Must read and write in English.
• Ability to work nights and weekends when required.
• Able to safely and effectively maneuver tractors/trailers in yard and ramp areas.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for short haul positioning of trailers to and from locations on and off the terminal yard.
• Spot trailers at loading docks; move loads to and from off-yard locations as assigned.
• Operate a tractor in yard and street movements between designated locations.
• Safely maneuver empty and loaded trailers into/out of loading docks; inspect equipment.
• Follow radio instructions to position trailers to the proper door location.
• Chock trailers and operate trailer equipment (fifth wheel, dolly, brakes, lights, refrigeration).
• Complete work completion and equipment damage reports as required.
• Keep truck and work area clean and tidy.
• Maintain a professional and cooperative demeanor with customer representatives.

Frequent movement between truck cab and yard in all weather conditions. Must possess ability to work nights and weekends where required.
