Job summary

Personnel World in Michigan is seeking reliable Shuttle Drivers to safely move vehicles throughout the facility and on public roads. This role requires frequent walking and the ability to enter and exit shuttle vans efficiently while following all safety protocols.

Shifts available include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with 8 to 12-hour schedules; candidates may work 6–7 days a week. Pay is $16.50 per hour; a clean driving record and ability to pass a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours daily and maneuver in/out of shuttle vans.
• Must maintain a clean driving record and pass a background check.
• Comfortable operating a hand-held PDA and following safety protocols.
• Graduation from HS or vocational school is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely shuttle vehicles throughout the facility and on public roads.
• Walk to and from shuttle vans during shifts and stage/move vehicles as directed.
• Use a hand-held PDA to support operations and vehicle returns to plant locations.
• Follow PPE and safety requirements at all times.

Vehicle Transport – Shuttle Driver – Greater Lansing Area

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Shift Availability:

• 1st Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (8 to 12-hour shifts; may work 6–7 days/week)


• 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (8 to 12-hour shifts; may work 6–7 days/week)


• 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM (8 to 12-hour shifts; may work 6–7 days/week)

Position Overview:

We are seeking reliable Shuttle Drivers to safely move vehicles throughout the facility and on public roads. This role requires frequent walking and the ability to efficiently enter and exit shuttle vans. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while following all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely shuttle vehicles throughout the facility and on public roads


• Walk to and from shuttle vans throughout the shift


• Arrive, stage, and move vehicles as directed


• Utilize a hand-held PDA to support operations


• Process vehicle returns to plant locations


• Follow all PPE and safety requirements

Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per day


• Must be able to maneuver in and out of shuttle vans


• Ability to operate a standard transmission


• Clean driving record required


• Must be able to pass a background check


• Ability to navigate and operate a hand-held PDA


• Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school.

Required PPE / Dress Code:

• Steel-toed boots (STB required — not clip-ons, composite, or shoes - no exceptions)


• Recent Copy of MVR ( this can be obtained via https://www.michigan.gov/sos/all-services/driving-record )


• Safety glasses


• Short- or long-sleeve shirt (no tank tops)


• Long pants with no exposed metal


• Proper PPE must be worn at all times
