Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Lead Dispatcher in New York to optimally schedule and operate shuttle runs daily. The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and supervisory experience to manage dispatch operations, train new hires, and ensure safe, efficient service for guests.

You will work closely with managers to maximize productivity, handle high-pressure situations, and maintain accurate ridership data while upholding corporate safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Must have strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly on phone and radio.
• Experience supervising or leading a small team is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel; basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process daily transportation events and special events.
• Communicate needs within the dispatch context as required.
• Direct and coordinate field transportation operations as directed by supervisor.
• Respond to radio and land-line communications appropriately.
• Work with Transportation Manager to maximize shuttle productivity.
• Train new hires on POS system, safety and job responsibilities.
• Monitor personnel procedures and reporting for compliance.
• Assign and dispatch vehicles per event and ensure timely service.
• Collaborate with other transportation departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Serve as first point of contact during emergencies and document ridership data.
