Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking a shuttle bus driver to join the Dothan Training Center operations support team. The role involves local shuttle services transporting students according to a daily schedule, with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Candidates must have a High school diploma or GED, a valid Class B license, a current DOT medical card, and at least one year of relevant experience. U.S. citizens only; DoD clearance eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate company-owned shuttle buses to transport students safely.
  • Enforce rules of conduct and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe bus environment.
  • Test brakes, tires and other components and complete required reports.
  • Clean the bus as scheduled or when needed.
  • Ensure the bus is safely stored when not in use.
  • Provide outstanding customer service during transportation and pickup operations.
  • Maintain and protect company property in good condition.
  • Perform additional duties to support team operations.

Summary

The shuttle bus driver position is expected to work as a valued member of the Dothan Training Center operations support team. This job will primarily consist of local shuttle bus operations involving transporting students according to set daily schedule.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Operate company-owned shuttle buses to facilitate transportation of students in safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe environment within the bus by enforcing rules of conduct and responding to emergencies.
  • Ensure that their vehicles are operating properly each day by testing brakes, tires and other components and maintain required reports.
  • Clean the bus as scheduled and/or required.
  • Ensure the bus is safely and securely stored.
  • Provide outstanding customer service during transportation and pickup operations.
  • Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid and clean Class B Driver’s License
  • A current and valid DOT medical card
  • 1 or more year(s) of relevant experience
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
  • This position is performed in outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
  • Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to talk and hear.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus.
