Job summary

Vivalon seeks a Shuttle Bus Driver to operate in Marin County, delivering dependable service for our community programs. You will drive a shuttle with safety, assist passengers, and ensure comfort during trips.

The role emphasizes daytime hours, with a Monday–Friday schedule, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package. A CDL with Passenger Endorsement and clean MVR are required, along with completing the VDDP credential if needed.

Qualifications

• Paid training completed with full attendance.
• Valid California CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
• DMV credential (VDDP) within 60 days.
• Excellent customer service and reliability.
• Maintain acceptable MVR per standards.
• Able to assist passengers and handle mobility equipment.
• Training in San Rafael, CA, 8:00–5:00 for 8–10 days.
• One professional reference required.
• Pass pre-employment physical and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Drive shuttle buses in Marin County and ensure passenger safety.
• Assist passengers and manage wheelchairs as needed.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safe operation.

Requirements

• -Completion of paid training with full attendance
• -Valid California Commercial Driver’s Licensewith Passenger Endorsement
• -Ability to obtain (or already possess) a DMV credential, VDDP Certificate, within 60 days to drive developmentally disabled persons (VDDP)
• -Friendly, reliable, and committed to excellent customer service
• -Must possess and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance with company and insurance standards.
• -Physically able to kneel, bend, secure wheelchairs, and assist passengers
• -Availability for training in San Rafael, CA, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM for 8-10 business days
• -One professional reference required
• -Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, and comply with ongoing random testing per federal regulations
