Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas is seeking a Driver to provide excellent guest service and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will assist with transportation, baggage, and personal belongings while following company policies and local regulations.

Responsibilities include driving assigned vehicles, supporting VIP guests, maintaining knowledge of MGM properties and local attractions, and reporting vehicle issues.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Experience working in a resort setting preferred.
• Two years’ experience driving a limo preferred.
• Bilingual abilities, English as the primary or secondary language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle assigned by dispatch, including picking up and dropping off guests as assigned.
• Run various types of errands for VIP guests including picking up shopping items for guests.
• Answer calls from dispatch and management on radio.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of MGM Resorts area, hotels, golf courses and restaurants.
• Log and report all necessary repair or maintenance on the vehicle report sheet at the end of their shift.
• Keep vehicle clean and fueled to 3/4 tank at end of shift.
• Notify a supervisor immediately of any safety/maintenance issues.
• Keep dispatchers informed of location at all times.
• Adhere to Front Services and Transportation Department policies.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

THE JOB:

It is the responsibility of the Driver to provide excellent customer service and create a safe and friendly environment for employees and guests by assisting guests with transportation, baggage assistance and personal belongings. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as with department and Company policies, practices, and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE: $18.10/ hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Drive vehicle assigned by dispatch, includes picking up and dropping off guests as assigned
• Run various types of errands for VIP guests including picking up shopping items for guests
• Answer calls from dispatch and management on radio
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of the company’s area and hotels, golf courses, and restaurants as well as other areas outside the city limits; including using magazines, guides and bulletins to keep up with the ever-changing city demographics
• Log and report all necessary repair or maintenance on the vehicle report sheet at the end of their shift
• Keep vehicle up to par at all times, including maintaining cleanliness of interior and exterior of vehicle, and returning vehicle with 3⁄4 tank of fuel at the end of the shift
• Notify a supervisor immediately of any safety/maintenance issues with their assigned vehicle
• Keep Dispatchers informed of location at all times
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Front Services and Transportation Department
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• One (1) year of customer service experience preferred
• Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred
• Bilingual abilities, English as the primary or secondary language preferred
• Two (2) years’ experience driving a limo preferred
