Job summary

Whitko Community School Corporation is seeking a dedicated individual aged 21 or older to drive AM and PM shuttles for Whitko Jr/Sr High School and Whitko Career Academy. The role follows the school calendar and includes competitive wages and benefits for full-time drivers, with Class B CDL training provided.

Reports to the Director of Transportation; responsibilities include vehicle safety checks, fueling, loading/unloading students, enforcing safety rules, and maintaining a clean bus.

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a valid driver's license.
• Annual safety course.

Responsibilities

• Available daily to drive AM & PM Shuttles To/From Whitko Jr/Sr High School and Whitko Career Academy.
• Regularly check vehicle safety such as tires, brakes, turn signals, mechanical equipment, etc.
• Fuel bus as needed
• Responding to emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Inspecting the vehicle thoroughly before and after each trip.
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of the bus when required.
• Enforcing conduct and safety rules on the bus.
• Maintaining a clean vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the transportation director and other administrative staff as designated by the superintendent.

Position Summary:

Whitko Community schools is looking for a dedicated individual 21 or older that enjoys children who would be interested in driving daily bus shuttles. This position will follow the school year calendar with competitive wages, benefits for full-time drivers and Class B CDL Training.

• Available daily to drive AM & PM Shuttles To/From Whitko Jr/Sr High School and Whitko Career Academy.

• The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation.
