Job summary

Trinity Health in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Shuttle Bus Operator to safely transport employees, patients, and visitors between parking areas and campus.

You will perform vehicle inspections, keep rider counts, communicate with hospital staff, and assist riders. High school diploma required; Michigan driver's license; 1-2 years driving experience; background checks and health clearance.

Qualifications

  • Valid Michigan driver's license.
  • 1-2 years driving experience.
  • Clean driving record with ability to meet hospital insurance requirements.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and health clearance as required by hospital policy.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle safety and operation procedures.
  • Ability to follow schedules and work independently.
  • Ability to physically assist employees, patients and visitors into and out of a vehicle.
  • Maintains satisfactory driving technique.

  • Provides support to the Guest Services department outside of shuttle transfers.

Required:

Preferred:
  • Previous shuttle, bus, or commercial driving experience.
  • Knowledge of local traffic patterns, arterial roads and navigating high traffic, urban environments.
  • Experience providing customer service in a healthcare or public-facing environment.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
