GXO Logistics, Inc in Northfleet is seeking a Class 1 Shunter driver for a permanent role. You will work 42 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off pattern with shifts 06:00-18:00 and a total package including £35,583.38 salary plus £3,231.84 shift premium.

You will manage trailers, assist external hauliers, perform transport area checks and maintain safety on site while upholding our high standards of service.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Class 1 licence with a minimum of 3 years experience.
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
• Less than 6 penalty points on licence (no DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 with a conviction date within the previous 5 years)
• Shunter experience preferred
• Must be able to complete manual handling tasks
• Good communication skills

Aufgaben

• To ensure the TUG unit is safe to operate and monitor H&S of the transport area, report any non-conformances including VOR trailers
• Effectively manage trailers on and off the bays, both at the RDC and over the mill in line with operational requirements
• Support all external hauliers for collections / deliveries and any internal movements between site locations
• Complete all transport area checks in an accurate and timely manner utilising systems and methods as supplied
• Monitor the usage and allocation of stand trailers
• Prepare trailers for loading including laying out of straps and pulling curtains
• Carry out any other duties as required in line with the role

Here at GXO, we are looking for a Class 1 Shunter to join our team in Northfleet supporting our customer, Arbex. This is a permanent role, and you will be working 42 hoursper week on a 4on,4off shift pattern.

Shifts available 06:00-18:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:
