Job summary

Remedy Intelligent Staffing is seeking Shredder Operators for our client in Cedar Rapids, IA, to work a 7pm to 7am rotating schedule. This long-term temporary role involves operating equipment to shred raw materials and support packaging and warehousing.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of machine operation experience, be capable of following GMPs, maintaining records, and communicating with team members. Pay is $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year of machine operation experience required.
• Experience operating shredder or similar production equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow GMPs and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate shredder and related equipment to process raw materials.
• Load/unload materials, sample products, and transfer items as needed.
• Provide coverage to other departments and maintain equipment with basic maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records and sanitize/clean plant equipment and facilities.
• Assist in training new shredders and communicate with team members.

Our client is looking for Shredder Operators to join their team.

Pay: $19.00 / hour

Shift: 7pm to 7am, rotating schedule.

Long Term Temporary position.

Position Summary: The Shredder operator is trained to assist in several areas of production including but not limited to the packaging system, warehousing, pulp shredding, and handling equipment to safely produce quality product in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate all equipment necessary to properly shred raw materials and/or package finished product
• Load, unload, store, sample, and transfer raw materials, finished product, and miscellaneous items
• Provide relief coverage to departments as assigned
• Maintain equipment through proper lubrication, minor repairs/adjustments; report all malfunctions and needed repairs
• Maintain accurate and complete records
• Routinely sanitize and clean plant equipment and facilities
• Assist in training new shredders
• Perform material handling duties in accordance with all applicable OSHA and EPA standards
• Effectively communicate with all other team members
• Participate in safety, quality, and productivity
