Job summary

SA Recycling in Phenix City is seeking a highly skilled Shredder Operations Manager to lead the shredder facility, overseeing daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our equipment and process lines.

You will drive safety, production efficiency, and reliability through strong mechanical troubleshooting, hands-on leadership, and by developing a high-performing team in a fast-paced scrap metal recycling environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing, operating, or maintaining scrap metal shredders.
• Strong mechanical background with advanced troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with downstream equipment and processing systems.
• Experience in the scrap metal recycling industry is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership to manage and develop a high-performing team.

SA Recycling is seeking a highly skilled Shredder Operations Manager to lead our shredder facility in Phenix City. You will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our scrap metal shredder and downstream processing equipment. The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical background and proven leadership skills to drive safety, production efficiency, and equipment reliability.

• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team
• Must complete pre employment physical and Drug screen
• Must pass background and credit check
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Willingness to work in both office and outdoor yard environments in varying weather conditions.

• Equipment & Tools: Office equipment, general tools, and training with mobile equipment

• Work Capacity: Lifting & carrying 35lb loads, head turning, bending.
