Job summary

Prime Inc. is seeking a Shred Technician to work in a production environment, shredding tires through manual and automated processes. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and meeting quality and production standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude required; manufacturing/production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload casings from trailers using forklifts or other means.
• Inspect tire casings.
• Perform mechanical tire de-beading.
• Unload bagging stations.
• Stack inventory and manage inventory.
• Quality control of finished product.
• Support management as needed.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Work in a team-driven environment.

As a Prime Shred Technician you will work in a production environment using tools and equipment where semi-truck, passenger, and OTR tires are shredded through a series of manual and automated processes by performing the following:

Responsibilities

• Unloading casings from trailers using forklifts or other means

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge

Candidate should possess a mechanical aptitude, and previous manufacturing/production experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Abilities

Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner. Must be goal-oriented and able to consistently meet quality and production requirements. Being detail oriented would be beneficial. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Experience, Education, and Training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

Applicant agrees to wear face shield, leather gloves, long sleeved shirt, safety glasses with wings, and ear protection whenever applicable. Steel toed footwear, safety glasses, and ear plugs are required anywhere in the shop. Candidate will need to be able to lift 105lbs, carry 60lbs, and push/pull 60lbs.

Licensing/Certification

Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work.
