Job summary

Prime Inc. is hiring Shred Technicians to join our production teams in Missouri. You will shred tires from semi-truck and OTR fleets using a mix of manual and automated processes in a fast-paced shop environment.

Schedule is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 5:00am–5:00pm day shift. Benefits include PTO, health insurance, HSA, dental/vision, disability, life insurance, 401k with match, wellness programs, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with interest in manufacturing/production.
• Prior manufacturing/production experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Unload casings from trailers using forklifts or other means.
• Inspect tire casings for quality and defects.
• Perform mechanical tire de-beading.
• Unload bagging stations and manage inventory.
• Maintain inventory and support inventory control.
• Quality control of finished product.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment.
• Work closely in a team driven environment.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Knowledge

Candidate should possess a mechanical aptitude, and previous manufacturing/production experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Abilities

Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner. Must be goal-oriented and able to consistently meet quality and production requirements. Being detail oriented would be beneficial. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Experience, Education, And Training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

Applicant agrees to wear face shield, leather gloves, long sleeved shirt, safety glasses with wings, and ear protection whenever applicable. Steel toed footwear, safety glasses, and ear plugs are required anywhere in the shop. Candidate will need to be able to lift 105lbs, carry 60lbs, and push/pull 60lbs.

Licensing/Certification

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work.
