Job summary

PARR Design Center in Everett, WA seeks a Showroom Salesperson to assist showroom and phone inquiries, design and estimate projects, and guide customers to product solutions. You will support contractors and coordinate with installation teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role requires strong communication, sales experience, and proficiency with office software. This position emphasizes Legendary Service and team collaboration in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with cabinet/appliances or windows.
  • Knowledge of retail and contractor sales principles practices and protocols.
  • Experience balancing a company’s best interests against customer needs and working with aggressive sales goals.
  • Must be able to type 40+ WPM.
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to operate personal computer, telephone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job.
  • Class C driver’s license and must have and maintain a good driving record required.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or in the building materials industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Orders material and items from manufacturers.
  • Create purchase orders using detailed, accurate and effective processes.
  • Utilize manufacturers design and quoting software for customer approval and purchasing needs.
  • Arrange delivery of product, working to create customer friendly outcomes.
  • Work closely with Parr’s installation team to ensure great customer outcomes.
  • Focus on hitting personal sales and profit goals, while supporting the team to maximize location and category goals.
  • Check vendor acknowledgements to validate accuracy.
  • Make all customers feel genuinely welcome, including greeting customers with a smile and communicating with customers in a friendly manner.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and business associates.
  • Quickly respond to customer complaints and concerns while keeping leadership informed.
  • Answer customers’ questions, process estimates and orders for customers, order stock, special order products for customers, and process credit returns, assist in coordinating warranty and replacements when necessary.
  • Assist Contractor Sales people in maintaining customer relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product brands and selling techniques. Share such information with co-workers.
  • Ensures that appropriate paperwork is completed as per company policy.
  • Follows all AR account and cash handling procedures.
  • Reads blue prints and creates take offs.
  • Answers phone promptly with professional greeting.
  • Completes Pos on time, confirms confirmation and tied to order.
  • Responds to emails and voicemails promptly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Showroom Salesperson

Pay: $24.43 - $29.12

The Showroom Salesperson’s main duty is to take care of both in person and over the phone customers of PARR. The Showroom Salesperson works closely with customers to create designs, estimates and assist the customer in finding the product that fits their individual and project needs. This role is important to the Parr Design Centers because the Showroom Salesperson is crucial to providing Legendary Service to customers. The Showroom Salesperson directly reports to the Design Center Manager. They interact regularly with our clients, Divisional Sales Managers, Install teams, Sales Coordinators, Contractor Sales members, the Central Purchasing Department, vendor representatives, and industry associates.

Working Conditions
  • This position works out of Parr’s Design Center.
  • This is an office/warehouse setting, with occasional visits to a job site, vendor locations and manufacturing tours.
  • Physical Requirements Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • Must be able to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
  • Both local and overnight travel may be required When required be able to drive a company vehicle SAL04
