Job summary

PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. This Cabinet Sales Coordinator role supports the outside sales team by coordinating cabinet, appliance, and countertop orders, drawing layouts, and arranging deliveries.

The position reports to the Division Sales Manager and interacts with customers, yard managers, installation teams, and purchasing. Strong sales experience and product knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with cabinet and appliances.
  • Knowledge of retail and contractor sales principles practices and protocols.
  • Experience balancing a company's best interests against customer needs, and working with aggressive sales goals.
  • Must be able to type 40+ WPM.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in 2020 Design Software.
  • Must have a Class C driver's license or alternative transportation preferred.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or in the building materials industry preferred.
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required.

Responsibilities

  • Orders cabinet, appliance, countertops, and ancillary items from manufacturers to support our outside sales team.
  • Create purchase orders using detailed, accurate and effective processes.
  • Draw 20/20 layouts for customer approval and quoting purposes.
  • Arrange delivery of product, working to create customer friendly outcomes.
  • Work closely with Parr Lumbers installation group to ensure great customer outcomes.
  • Assist in meeting team sales and profit goals.
  • Check vendor acknowledgements to validate accuracy.
  • Make all customers feel genuinely welcome, including greeting customers with a smile and communicating with customers in a friendly manner.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and business associates.
  • Quickly respond to customer complaints and concerns.
  • Answer customers' questions, process estimates and orders for customers, order stock, special order products for customers, and process credit returns, handle appliance repairs and replacements when necessary.
  • Assist Cabinet/Appliance Contractor Sales people in maintaining customer relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cabinets' brands, appliances and selling techniques. Share such information with co-workers.
  • Ensures that appropriate paperwork is completed as per company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Pay: $23.27-$27.74 hourly.

The Cabinet Sales Coordinator works directly with the Cabinet/Appliance Salespeople and assists with all aspects of the sales process for residential, commercial, and re-model construction. This is a critical role for Parr's Design Centers, in that it ensures that product specified for our clients is accurate, on time and in full. This allows our clients to close houses and meet challenging deadlines from their customers, which makes this position vital to fulfilling our mission of Legendary Service Through Teamwork.

The Cabinet Sales Coordinator directly reports to the Division Sales Manager. The coordinator interacts regularly with our clients, Yard Managers, Install team, Inside and Outside Cabinet sales members, the Central Purchasing Department, vendor representatives, and industry associates.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working Conditions

This position works out of Parr's Cabinet Design Center. This is an office/warehouse setting, with occasional visits to a job site, vendor locations and manufacturing tours.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • Must be able to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
  • Both local and overnight travel may be required
