Job description

Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Show Technician located in Tucson, AZ. The Show Technician will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of show equipment, including audio, lighting, special effects, and pyrotechnics on show nights. This includes coordinating with cast and crew, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and assisting with the flawless execution of performances. The technician will also support private shows and off-property events as needed.

Qualifications
  • Experience with audio, lighting, and special effects equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team, accept direction, and communicate effectively with cast and crew
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round (including inclement weather) and stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work on top of two-story buildings
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience in live entertainment or theater production is a plus
  • Knowledge of pyrotechnics and safety protocols is helpful but not necessary (training will be provided)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
