Job summary

Nielson Construction is seeking a Residential Maintenance Technician to maintain quality and presentation of completed homes from substantial completion through sale and occupancy. You will perform scheduled inspections, preventative maintenance, and component testing to ensure functionality and safety.

Responsibilities include documenting deficiencies, maintaining records, and supporting Sales with show-ready homes.

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify functional and aesthetic deficiencies.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills to manage a scheduled portfolio of homes.
Clear communication with employees, vendors, and homeowners to ensure expectations are met.

Responsibilities

Perform finished home inspections and preventative maintenance per schedules and checklists.
Ensure homes are show-ready through proper staging, security, and presentation for open houses and events.
Document deficiencies with detail and photograph when appropriate; submit through tracking system.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and completed work; complete checklists.
Support Sales and Operations to prepare homes for customer-facing activities; collaborate with teams and trade partners.
Follow safety policies and use PPE; report unsafe conditions or hazards promptly.
