CORT Tradeshow and Events in San Diego is seeking a Furniture Repair Technician to repair, restore, and refinish furniture ensuring show-ready inventory. You will work with hand and power tools, maintain a clean workspace, and support warehouse operations while meeting safety standards.

The role requires 1-3 years of furniture repair experience, physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, and familiarity with OSHA safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience with furniture repair/restoration preferred.
• General warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift Operator certification preferred; on-the-job certification provided.
• Physically able to move heavy furniture; able to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Able to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks.
• Must be able to work with chemical-based repair and cleaning products safely per OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Repair and restore damaged furniture and event equipment to show quality.
• Prepare surfaces for painting, staining, or refinishing and apply finishes.
• Track inventory and ensure timely return of repaired items to stock.
• Perform quality control to assess repair methods and determine replacement needs.
• Manage repair equipment and supplies for safe, economical use.
• Maintain safe work area and adhere to safety protocols.
