Job summary

Walt Disney Imagineering is seeking a Show Software Engineering Intern to work on attractions and park systems in a role that blends software and hardware integration. The internship runs January 2027 through June 2027 and may be located in Glendale, CA or Orlando, FL.

You will develop software for guest interactive systems, contribute to requirements and design, and help create documentation and test plans.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class at time of application posting
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
• Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
• FOR FLORIDA : We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities
• FOR CALIFORNIA : You must be able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Glendale, CA area

Responsibilities

• Develop software for guest interactive systems on small projects or as part of a software team
• Review system requirements and design software specifications and architectures
• Develop code and software test plans and documentation
• Participate in software and system testing and release software
• Stay updated on new technologies to reduce development costs
• Assist in workload and schedule planning for internship activities
• Support interface requirements between controls and show elements
• Develop and review test procedures and execution plans
• Verify software performance against requirements
• Support Show System operator training and project updates
• Maintain contact with engineers from other organizations
