Job description

About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional voice instructor to lead the Show Choir Summer Camp, part-time, at Marlton Music Academy in Marlton, New Jersey. The camp is in-person and runs from July 1st to August 1st.

The hours for the position are: Mondays-Fridays 12:45 PM - 4:15 PM. Both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with the availability listed.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as teacher and vocal coach for students ages 8 to 14 who are learning to perform musical theatre and pop songs as an ensemble.
  • Choreograph dance routines which coincide with vocal music.
  • Enforce appropriate classroom behavior and conduct by establishing clear rules and expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and education and will be in the range of $32-36/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job.
