Position Summary

The Show Attendant is responsible for providing guests with a fun, clean, and safe ride experience.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

1. Takes initiative to answer guest questions and/or resolve guest complaints.
2. Maintains cleanliness and safety of ride, pre-show, and queue areas.
3. Responsible for the daily cleaning of the attraction with other staff.
4. Tests equipment daily before opening the attraction to guests.
5. Interacts with guests entering the attraction, loading area, and pre-show areas.
6. Ensures guests meet all ride requirements, including height and weight.
7. Enforces ride restrictions and recommendations to ensure safe operation of the ride.
8. Provides direction to guests when loading and unloading the attraction, loading line, or pre-show areas.
9. Prepares riders by separating groups into appropriate sizes to efficiently fill the different attraction areas.
10. Assists guests, as trained, with loading and unloading the ride, particularly small children and guests with disabilities.
11. Ensures guests are safely secured by verifying all restraints are locked.
12. Performs sequence to begin ride and/or pre-show cycles.
13. Always follows Standard Operating Procedures.
14. Explains safety and evacuation procedures to guests when necessary.
15. Conducts evacuations in a safe, effective manner.
16. Inspects ride for any damage and reports findings to the Manager on Duty.
17. Removes disorderly or sick guests from the ride.
18. Follows all handbook policies.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, entry level, with a pay rate of $16 per hour. Located in Morristown, TN. Employment type is full-time with management and manufacturing functions in the IT Services and IT Consulting industries. No supervisory responsibilities. The role involves working in a park or recreation setting, ensuring guest safety and experience.
