Job summary

Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc. seeks a focused operator to efficiently blast and paint high pressure and acetylene cylinders in a safety‑conscious environment. You will follow SOPs, identify cylinder types, and position cylinders for painting while maintaining quality and punctuality.

You will work in a team, uphold safety standards, and support continuous improvement within the facility, ensuring accurate labeling and handling of cylinders throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Ability to roll two cylinders at a time.
• Ability to identify DOT cylinder specifications including cylinders that require special permits or exemptions.
• Ability to work in an interdependent team environment.

Responsibilities

• Know, understand and follow all applicable SOPs.
• Meet all applicable efficiency requirements.
• Identify the various sizes and types of cylinders, valves, and gas services.
• Ensure all stamped markings on the cylinder are legible.
• Ensure that the gas service and customer acronyms are marked on all cylinders.
• Ensure the proper valve is inserted correctly.
• Move cylinders to the proper area, including palletizing or nesting as directed.
• Hang cylinders on the line if they require paint service under the direction of the SBP Level 3.
• Safely remove cylinders from the paint line.
• Any other duties assigned.

Who: Re-qualifiers, Hydro, Warehouse/New Cylinders, Pack Shop, Acetylene, Trailer Gas, LPG, High Pressure Fill, Western’s External Customers

Compensation

Compensation: $17 - $18 per hour
