Job summary

Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc. is seeking a dedicated employee to efficiently blast and paint high pressure and acetylene cylinders in Pueblo, CO. This role focuses on safety, quality, and adherence to SOPs while contributing to timely production.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, identifying cylinder sizes and valves, and moving cylinders to designated areas. The position requires the ability to lift 100 lbs and work in varied conditions, with a pay rate of $17–$18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work extended shifts.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Know and follow all applicable SOPs.
• Able to identify cylinder types and valves.
• Able to move cylinders safely and palletize as directed.
• Attention to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Know, understand and follow all applicable SOPs.
• Meet efficiency requirements.
• Identify the various sizes and types of cylinders, valves, and gas services.
• Ensure all stamped markings on the cylinder are legible.
• Ensure that the gas service and customer acronyms are marked on all cylinders.
• Ensure that the proper valve is inserted correctly.
• Efficiently move cylinders to the proper area, including palletizing or nesting as directed.
• Hang cylinders on the line if they require paint service under the direction of the SBP Level 3.
• Safely remove cylinders from the paint line.
• Any other duties assigned.

• Efficiently move cylinders to the proper area, including palletizing or nesting as directed
• Ensure that hanging caps are properly placed on all cylinders moving to the paint line
• Hang cylinders on the line if they require paint service under the direction of the SBP Level 3
• Safely remove cylinders from the paint line
• Any other duties assigned
• Specific Requirements (training, education, certification)
• Ability to roll two cylinders at a time
• Ability to identify DOT cylinder specifications including cylinders that require special permits or exemptions
