Responsibilities




Registered Nurses (RNs) play a crucial role in healthcare by providing a range of essential services to patients. They treat patients, educate them about medical conditions, and offer emotional support to both patients and their families. RNs also conduct therapeutic groups, intervene during psychiatric crises, and manage patient seclusion and restraint when necessary. Additionally, they maintain detailed medical records, assist in diagnostic procedures, operate medical equipment, administer treatments and medications, and support patients through follow-up care and rehabilitation.

Moreover, RNs have a significant role in patient education, teaching individuals and their families how to manage illnesses, injuries, dietary needs, exercise routines, self-medication practices, and physical therapy. Their responsibilities extend to various other related tasks that contribute to the holistic care and well-being of patients.






Qualifications




EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
2. BLS upon hire and maintain current.
3. Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
4. Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
5. Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
6. Behavioral Violence Prevention within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $48.00 to $66.17. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
