Job summary

Visiting Angels of Missouri City is hiring Short Shift Caregivers to provide in-home care in Central Houston, TX and surrounding areas. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour with flexible schedules and opportunities for growth.

Duties include personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, and transportation support. Applicants must have at least 2 years of professional caregiving experience (CNA welcome), a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and be authorized to work in

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional caregiving, home health, or CNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or incidents.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Respond quickly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with mobility at home and during appointments.

As a Visiting Angels Short Shift Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Visiting Angels offers opportunities for advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care for caregivers seeking to broaden their skills.

Short Shift Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional caregiving, home health, or CNA experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Reliable personal vehicle with current, active auto insurance
• Willingness and ability to transport clients to appointments and errands
• Reliable attendance and dependability are required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
