Caregivers help with personal care, meals, mobility, and companionship, following custom care plans. Training in dementia/alzheimer’s care is available for interested staff.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• First Aid training and emergency response knowledge is preferred (provided if needed).
• Good time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled.
• Physical endurance for assisting with groceries and client support.
• Willingness to perform housekeeping and cooking duties per dietary needs.
• Able to comply with health and safety standards (background checks, etc.).
• Bring compassion and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

As a Visiting Angels Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
