Job summary

Coeur Rochester seeks a skilled Short Range Mine Planning Engineer to develop and implement the short-range mine plan for the Rochester operation near Lovelock, NV. The role reports to the SR Planning Engineer and requires relocation to Northern Nevada for an 8 days on / 6 days off on-site schedule.

You will build daily 7-, and 90-day plans, coordinate with site teams, and monitor performance against KPIs, with a focus on continuous improvement and safe operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Experience in mine planning at an open-pit mining operation.
• Mine operations/supervision experience preferred.
• High level of proficiency in mine planning software (Deswick preferred).
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and also independently.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a weekly rolling 90-day plan aligned with the mine's medium-range plan.

About the Job:

We are seeking a Short Range Mine Planning Engineer for our Rochester operation near Lovelock, NV. This position will report to the SR Planning Engineer. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and implement the short-range mine plan at the mine site.

This position will require company-supported relocation to Northern Nevada to work a 8 days on, 6 days off schedule on-site at Coeur Rochester near Lovelock, NV.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe, healthy and clean environment by ensuring Coeur's values and standards are present in all aspects of work execution
• Develop and implement daily / 7-day / 90-day mine plans that maximize production and meet budget / forecast KPI's
• Maintain a weekly rolling 90-day mine plan that optimizes upon and is in-line with mine's medium-range plan
• Continually seek to optimize the operation and reduce production bottlenecks over the daily to 90-day planning horizon
• Integrate with and maintain close relationships with teams across the mine site to ensure the plans are informed and executable.
• Ensuring operational management are adequately briefed on technical matters and plans to make appropriate decisions in a timely manner
• Champion continuous improvement and challenge the status quo.
• Reporting of daily, monthly and yearly mine production physicals and site KPIs against established site metrics
• Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to work safe and promote safe behavior in others

• Experience in mine planning at an open-pit mining operation required
• Mine operations/supervision experience preferred
