Telecare Corporation is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach I in California to engage with members and support their recovery goals. You will promote a Recovery Culture within the RCCS and assist in de-escalation during emergencies, ensuring a least restrictive setting.

Shifts include 7:00–15:30 Friday/Saturday, 15:00–23:30 Friday/Saturday, and 23:00–07:30 Friday/Saturday with geographic pay differentials based on location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• California Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification within 120 days of hire.
• One year or part-time equivalent experience supporting behavioral health.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system.
• Completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance in name of driver.
• Willingness to use company vehicle to transport clients.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare's Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member's point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.

Shifts Available:

(1) Short-Hour | AM | Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Days: Friday and Saturday

(1) Short-Hour | PM | Shifts: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM | Days: Friday and Saturday

(1) Short-Hour | NOC | Shifts: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Days: Friday and Saturday

Expected starting wage range is $23.00 - $23.71. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• High School Diploma or GED required
• California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of your date of hire and maintained throughout employment. Failure to obtain certification within this period will result in separation with the company.
• One (1) year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
• Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
